About the Artist
Based in Qatar with 17 years in the region, Tessema Temtime brings over 22 years of
aviation experience . 5 years with Ethiopian Airlines and 17 years with Qatar Airways to his
artistic vision. A graduate of the University of Fine Arts in Ethiopia, his work bridges
Ethiopian and Arab cultures, using art as a form of cultural diplomacy and a message of
peace.
Artist Statement
Tessema Temtime
Inspired by positive thoughts, Tessema captures fleeting moments with sensitivity to light and atmosphere, creating timeless visual stories. His art also explores themes of environmental awareness and space science, aiming to connect viewers with the broader universe. He has exhibited internationally in Ethiopia Qatar, Djibouti, Turkey, France, Sweden, Ireland, the UK (Liverpool), and the US (New York, Seattle, California Sacramento), among other locations. He is currently focused on collaborative coffee-themed projects
inspired by Ethiopia’s heritage.
A member of MAPS International and Brand Ambassador for Ethiopia in Qatar, he promotes cultural dialogue through art. Tessema is married with four children, drawing inspiration from family and roots.
