About the Artist
Ahmed Ahmed, also known as Midoo, was born in Gonder, Ethiopia. His journey into the world of fine art began at just nine years old, when he held his first exhibition as a third grader in his school. From that moment, art became his lifelong passion. His talent quickly gained recognition throughout his hometown, with his paintings displayed in local restaurants, hotels, and tourist markets.
Although self-taught, Ahmed also refined his skills at Abisenya Art School in Addis
Ababa.

At the age of 21, he moved to the United States and made Denver, Colorado his new home. Since then, his artistic presence has flourished-his work can be found in restaurants, hotels, and cultural spaces across Colorado.
Ahmed is widely known for his portraits and striking glow-in-the-dark paintings. Beyond canvas, he also creates custom fashion pieces, collaborating with celebrities and transforming clothing into wearable art. Alongside his artistic career, he works full-time as an interior designer and printer, merging creativity with design in every project.
Recognized not only for his art but also for his character, Ahmed is celebrated as a humble and generous artist. He actively volunteers with nonprofit organizations, donating his time and artwork to give back to his community. His dream is to inspire and make a difference in the world through the beauty and impact of his paintings.
